The Big Texas Beer Fest is an annual event that was birthed after its founders Chad and Nellie attended the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver in 2010. The two co-founders decided to replicate the event and came up with the greatest beer event in Dallas, Texas. The couple came up with this annual event with the aim of bringing beer lovers together to participate in fun fare while at the same time raising money for the North Texas Food Bank charity.
During such an exciting event, there is so much that goes on. Here are some tips, which if followed, will ensure that you get the most out of any BTBF:
Tip #1: Try as many beers as possible
Being a beer event, you will realize that different beer breweries come to showcase their products. You shouldn’t shy away from sampling a wide range of beer that is on display by some of our exhibitors. As you drink, do make sure that you do so responsibly and do not overindulge in alcohol consumption.
Tip #2: Don’t stick to one area; mingle and find something new
With every new event, the organizers of the Craft Beer festival always ensure that they have a wide variety of activities that take place concurrently. It is impossible for any beer lover to get bored at any of the Beer Fest events mainly because there are attractions meant to appeal to different groups of people. Mill around and find something new that will keep you entertained.
Tip #3: Take time to enjoy the live music
Beer goes down very well with some cool music. Being the home of county music, rest assured that there will be a live band on the stage performing some sweet tunes to keep the attendees entertained.
Tip #4: Take advantage of the food trucks
Please be advised; it is not recommended to take beer on an empty stomach. Whenever you feel the pangs of hunger, go ahead and grab a bite from the food trucks that are strategically located at various locations around the event.
Tip #5: Meet some new people
The Beer Fest is an excellent opportunity for you to meet new people and make some friends. Go around, mingle, and get to know some new people.
A parting shot:
You don’t need to wait for the next big beer event to enjoy a craft beer in Dallas. If you sampled something you enjoyed at any of the past festivals or events, just locate either Taps & Caps, situated in both the Fort Worth and Lewisville areas.
